- Hocus Pocus
- The Nightmare before Christmas. Family friendly, hits at multiple emotional levels, sing-along credibility, and the boogeyman is still scary after over a dozen viewings.
- The Blair Witch Project, it was new/creative for it's time
- Hocus Pocus is sillier than it is spooky but I love it. Zombieland is a go-to during spooky season.
- Scream - It was refreshing at the time it was made; A combination of humor and horror. Very novel.
