Staff recognition

Kudos to Graduate Student Services & Progress (GSSP) Coordinator Molly Budke! May is GSSP's busiest time of the year, and this year Molly has been triaging and answering all of the escalated cases on her own. On top of that, Molly has also been training and supporting new staff in the student employee role and the second GSSP Coordinator role. In short, she is working extremely hard to keep the ship afloat. We aren't the only ones who are noticing Molly's dedication to her work, because two people submitted comment cards this week letting us know that she is doing outstanding work. Thank you, Molly!

We also want to give a round of applause to the One Stop, Student Account Assistance, and Third Party Billing Retreat Planning Committee (Ralph Daby, Darice Fowler, Jessica Ibarra, Melissa Gasper, and Sophia Bunker) for putting together a thoughtful, entertaining, and connection-driven retreat on May 23rd. This is the first retreat One Stop has had since 2019, and it was a wonderful experience for the staff to come together to discuss big picture ideas and develop deeper connections with one another. Thank you to the committee for a wonderful day!

Office Closure (5/23): One Stop, GSSP, UVS, SAA, and Third Party Billing

One Stop Student Services, University Veterans Services, Graduate Student Services & Progress, Student Account Assistance, and Third Party Billing will be closed from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23 for a staff event. This includes phone, email, and in-person services at all three One Stop Student Services locations, Student Account Assistance, and Third Party Billing.

Full service will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24 for all units. The details of this closure are being communicated to both staff and students across multiple platforms. Please share this information with others as needed.

Change to One Stop Student Services and Student Account Assistance in-person service

Beginning Monday, November 30, One Stop Student Services and Student Account Assistance (SAA) will temporarily suspend in-person services in Bruininks Hall until the week before the start of the spring term. However, students and staff can continue to contact One Stop or SAA. The drop boxes in Bruininks Hall will remain open and be checked by staff. SAA is developing a plan for any scholarship checks that remain unsigned when the closure begins.

University Veterans Services, Graduate Student Services and Progress (GSSP), the Helping U desk, and One Stop’s West Bank and St. Paul locations will remain closed for in-person service.
