We also wanted to recognize Sophia Bunker and Patience Bergman from the One Stop DEI Committee! They will be presenting at the Institute for Student Services Professionals (ISSP) conference in November. The presentation will focus on the ongoing “Booster Series” training the DEI team implemented over the last year for One Stop full-time staff. Congratulations Patience, Sophia, Susan, Husna, Cooper, Sarah, and Karen for a successful proposal!

Update from Stacey
On Monday, the Regents approved the budget, which paves the way for us to begin notifying staff of their salary increases. If you are a civil service or P&A staff member, you can expect an email from me next week.
On another note, I’m really looking forward to our all staff event this summer on Thursday, July 27. I will give an ASR update followed by the DEI committee's update. After that, we have time reserved for teams to gather and eat lunch, which will be provided for all staff. Then there will be wellness time for the remainder of the day. More information will be sent out soon. I hope to see you there!

Office of the Registrar
- OTR has been busy implementing an interim staffing structure to support continuity and promote professional development over the next year. The high level org chart is available on the ASR intranet, but below are some highlights. Please continue to use otr@umn.edu as the primary point of contact or for necessary student referrals.
- Colleen Harms has been promoted to Interim Associate Director overseeing a combined unit of Service Operations and Records & Enrollment.
- Matt Duggan has been promoted to Interim Assistant Director overseeing the service operations team.
- Theresa Nelson has been promoted to a management position overseeing the Graduate Education Records team.
- Josemy Morales has been promoted to Service Operations manager overseeing the OTR student workers.
- In addition to adopting a new staffing structure and new allocations of work, OTR has also been busy with ongoing end of term processing including:
- 6970 undergraduate degrees posted system-wide for spring 2023
- 1552 graduate degrees posted system-wide for May 2023 (210 Twin Cities graduate term-based degrees)
- 813 professional degrees posted for spring 2023
- Over 9700 diplomas sent since May 1!
- The Destiny One Registration System (DORS) team will officially join OTR as of July 1.
- The Duluth campus went live with GPAS which now closes out the GPAS implementation!
- OTR staff have also been engaging in professional development. The APAS and TES teams (Stephanie Sutton, Amanda Grimm, Kathryn Kvam, Laura Butchko and Chris Smith) recently attended the CollegeSource conference in San Diego. James Harms and Amber Cellotti attended AACRAO Hill Day and the AACRAO Leadership Meeting in DC respectively.
- We want to give the biggest kudos to all OTR staff for their ongoing support and flexibility during this interim period!

Project & Work Facilitation team email decommission
Due to the reorganization and transitioning of Ryan Ceresnak to ASR Operations & Strategic Initiatives and Kristy Davis to OIT, we will be decommissioning the email used by the former ASR-IT Project & Work Facilitation team: pwf-team@umn.edu. This email was used primarily by ASR staff, and some campus partners, to primarily contact Kristy and Ryan.
We have removed all references to this email from the ASR website, intranet, and other commonly-used resources. Google resource access connected to pwf-team@umn.edu has also been removed from all items possible. There are some older documents that might still reference this email, and we will continue to update as the need arises.
Please update any internal documentation or contact lists you have to Ryan’s direct email at rceresna@umn.edu or open a ticket by emailing asrprojectsupport@umn.edu. Also, please remove any Google resource (Docs, Sheets, Groups, etc.) access if found. OIT will be turning off this account the week of July 3rd.

Requesting TCards reminder
Please do not submit TCard applications directly to the Controller’s Office because additional local approvals are required to complete the application. All applications for new credit cards should be sent to ASRCentral@umn.edu following director approval, so the remaining required approvals can be completed. Incomplete applications sent to the Controller’s Office will not be processed, which can add significant delays to your card’s arrival (regularly 6-8 weeks).

New system wide travel agency
The University has entered into a new contract with Collegiate Travel Partners (CTP) for travel agency services. A link to CTP’s online booking tool, Lightning, is available at MyU > Key Links > U Travel/Chrome River. CTP’s agents, as well as the Lightning system, are prepared to assist with making policy compliant travel arrangements. Service fees for working with the Travel Agency are an allowable travel expense.
2023 Tillman Scholars
We’re proud to announce that a University of Minnesota doctoral student, Timothy Usset, has been selected as a member of the Tillman Scholar class of 2023. The Pat Tillman Foundation receives thousands of applications each year, and they select 60 military service members, veterans, and spouses globally from that pool to receive their academic scholarship. An applicant must demonstrate a passion for education, an unwavering commitment to making an impact, and dedication to service beyond self.
Timothy is currently pursuing his doctorate in Health Services Research Policy and Administration through the School of Public Health. His work focuses on the care and prevention of moral injury in service members, veterans, and healthcare workers. His selection into this network of scholars is truly impressive and well-deserved. Congratulations, Timothy!
