Planning your development with IDP resources

It’s performance appraisal season; now is also the time when staff create or revise their Individual Development Plan (IDP). Please make sure you check with your supervisor to coordinate on a deadline for submitting your IDP, or if you haven’t received the link to your IDP from them, yet.

In May, supervisors will begin discussing your plan with you on at least a quarterly basis - twice at a check in, once during your performance appraisal and again during your mid-year assessment. The purpose of the IDP is to help employees communicate their personal and professional goals, what they’ll need to meet those goals, and how those goals intersect with ASR’s needs as an organization. You can use this resource to help you plan for your IDP discussions.

No matter where you are in your career, a plan to develop and meet future challenges can be helpful. Both ASR as an organization and all of us as individual employees will be better served if we are all actively engaged in advancing our skills, career objectives, and even our personal passions.
