This donor-supported fund is meant to ensure that unexpected emergencies and recent immigration changes will not derail students’ academic dreams. Eligible students may apply for a grant to help with educational expenses, unexpected medical or dental bills, housing needs, food insecurity, or other extenuating circumstances like DACA renewal fees. International students generally do not qualify.
You can learn more about The Dream Fund and how students apply at The Dream Fund Application. If you have any questions, please contact the Immigration Response Team at immigration@umn.edu.
